** UPDATE ** 10:15 AM - Dear Oak Crest Families, We’re pleased to inform you that power has been restored at Oak Crest School. As a result, we will move forward with a late start school day today, Tuesday, May 6, 2025. Student pick-up will be delayed by 2 hours from their normal morning bus pick-up time. For example, if your child is usually picked up at 7:00 a.m., they will be picked up today at 9:00 a.m. We appreciate your patience and flexibility as we navigated this morning’s unexpected outage. We look forward to welcoming our students to school shortly and continuing with the rest of the day safely. ************************************************* 8:20 AM - Dear Oak Crest Families, We are writing to inform you of a change to today’s school schedule. Due to a current power outage at Oak Crest School, we will be switching from an early release to a late start today, Tuesday, May 6, 2025. Students will start school at 11:05 am and will be released at 3:45 pm. At this time, we are awaiting an update from ComEd on when power will be restored. We will provide a follow-up communication as soon as we receive an estimated restoration time. If ComEd is unable to restore power before the buses are scheduled to pick up students, we will close the school for the day to ensure the safety and security of all students and staff. We appreciate your understanding and flexibility as we work to ensure the safety and comfort of our students and staff. Please stay tuned for further updates.
