
Students in Mr. Smiths' gym class this afternoon practiced bowling!! They had so much fun listening to Christmas music, and learning how to bowl!!






5th grade students in Ms. Lukas' class were working on answering questions about a text using RACE writing. Today, they read an article about the government and taxes, and practiced responding to different prompts using RACE writing.






2nd grade students in Mrs. McGees' class used a cool website called blooket where students compete against each other, but at their own pace! They were reviewing addition facts up to 20, and they had so much fun with it!

Today Oak Crest had a Trimester 1 celebration for all of the hard work our students did! Students came and played all different kinds of games, and made some adorable crafts. Students and staff had so much fun!

5th grade students in Ms. Lukas' class were working on taking apart words by their prefixes and suffixes. Students worked together to break apart the words through cooperative learning.




4th grade students in Ms. Strathmanns' class did a want vs need sort today. They had items that they had to determine if they were a want or a need. Students had fun discussing why each item was a want or a need.

Students in Mrs Campbell's class were practicing writing words with the wh- digraph in them, and their sight words. Students worked really hard to sound them out and write them correctly!


Beach Park District 3 schools and district office will be closed tomorrow, November 10, in observance of Veterans Day. Thank you to all of our Veterans for your service to our country!


During our SIP day yesterday we had our book buddy time. Yesterday 5th grade students from Ms. Zwyers class, helped Kindergarten students in Mrs. Kostals class build a ramp for their science performance task. Students had lots of fun designing, and testing out their ramps!








Today was our November SIP day assembly. All month long students practiced what it means to be a leader and earned leadership bee bucks. We also had our students of the month announced from each class. Students and staff played a game against each other, and the students won!
