4th grade students played their recorders for the first time today in music class! They were so excited and had so much fun!!
Kindergarten students got to exercise like ninjas! In gym today students kicked, ducked, and jumped as if they were ninjas!

Today was an E-learning day for Oak Crest! Teachers had their students go outside to play in the snow! Students had so much fun!!
4th grade students in Ms. Strathmann's class were practicing how to map points on a graph. They mapped different volcanoes in different continents with their partners.

5th grade students in Ms. Lukas's created business proposals to present to CEO's! Students came up with such creative businesses!!
Today during our SIP day assembly, we went over expectations on the playground, crowned our December students of the month, and played a fun snowball game! Students and staff had a blast!
1st grade students in Mrs. Brockway's class were building a space ship out of blocks today. This comes as they are starting their new unit on space this week! How fun!!

Today students at Oak Crest got to watch the school musical performance of "The Little Mermaid Jr" by our 4th and 5th grade students. The actors and stage crew did an amazing job, and students and staff had a blast!
Kindergarten students got a visit from the Lake County Forest Preserve. They got to learn about reptiles and amphibians, and
they even got to see and feel living ones!
3rd grade students used kahoot to answer comprehension questions about the book they were reading called "The One and Only Ivan".
Kindergarten students felt what the earth was made of before it was warm from the "sun", and after to see how the sun warms our earth.
