The cast and crew of our school musical, The Little Mermaid, went and saw their musical done at another theater today! They also got a picture with the actress that played Ariel!

Today was an exciting at Oak Crest! Students and staff got to see and play on our brand new playground!!! Buzz (the mascot) and staff members modeled expectations for the equipment, then students got to play and explore the new equipment!! Students and staff had so much fun!!

Students in Ms. Zubeck's class made a snowman craft using their handprint covered in paint, and making each of their fingers snowmen. Students had so much fun creating this!
4th grade students had a blast in gym today doing human bowling! Students got the chance to ride on the scooter, and knock down the bowling bins! They had so much fun!
3rd grade students in Mrs. Johnson's class were working hard with their partners during math! They were working on multi digit addition!
Today was our December SIP day assembly! Students and staff had a chance to compete against each other in a series of fun games, and our students of the month were recognized!!
2nd grade students in Mrs. McGees' class started their December number corner today! They practiced classifying shapes, counting their sides, and see if they had lines of symmetry!
1st grade students in Mrs. Albulescu's class were practicing their spelling of words that end in -ll. Students took turns being the teacher and the student in reviewing with their partners!
4th grade students in Ms. Strathmanns room were hard at work during their reading rotations this afternoon! Each group was either doing spelling, task cards, I-ready, or working with the teacher!
Students in Mr. Smiths' gym class this afternoon practiced bowling!! They had so much fun listening to Christmas music, and learning how to bowl!!
5th grade students in Ms. Lukas' class were working on answering questions about a text using RACE writing. Today, they read an article about the government and taxes, and practiced responding to different prompts using RACE writing.
2nd grade students in Mrs. McGees' class used a cool website called blooket where students compete against each other, but at their own pace! They were reviewing addition facts up to 20, and they had so much fun with it!

Today Oak Crest had a Trimester 1 celebration for all of the hard work our students did! Students came and played all different kinds of games, and made some adorable crafts. Students and staff had so much fun!
