
Beach Park District 3 schools and district office will be closed tomorrow, November 10, in observance of Veterans Day. Thank you to all of our Veterans for your service to our country!


During our SIP day yesterday we had our book buddy time. Yesterday 5th grade students from Ms. Zwyers class, helped Kindergarten students in Mrs. Kostals class build a ramp for their science performance task. Students had lots of fun designing, and testing out their ramps!








4th grade students in Mrs. Egans' class created catapults with tape, craft sticks and spoons, to catapult candy corn. Students had so much fun designing, and testing their catapult to get their candy corn the farthest!








Today was our November SIP day assembly. All month long students practiced what it means to be a leader and earned leadership bee bucks. We also had our students of the month announced from each class. Students and staff played a game against each other, and the students won!








1st grade students in Mrs. Brockway's class ended their Mo Williams author study unit by doing a directed drawing of piggie from one of Mo Williams books!! What a fun way to wrap up the unit!

4th grade students in Mrs. Egans' class were working on chronological order(sequence of events) by working with partners on a passage to fill out their graphic organizers. They read a passage on the invention of the doughnut machine, and sequenced the events of it.





Early Childhood students worked on their fine motor skills with fall themed activities with Ms. Sara! Students had fun with their hands on learning activities!







Oak Crest definitely dressed to impress in their amazing Halloween costumes. Students and staff dressed up and participated in the school wide fall parade, and classroom Halloween parties. Everyone had so much fun today!











2nd grade students in Ms. Sanchez's class were working hard during reading rotations on their reading fluency, and their writing of sentences.





Oak Crest hosted a trunk or treat for students and their families to come trick or treating. Everybody was dressed in amazing costumes, and enjoyed tasty candy, snacks and music!

5th grade students in Ms. Lukas' class played jeopardy to review for their unit 2 post test in math. They worked with fractions, and unit price. What a fun way to practice for a test!






4th grade students in Ms. Strathmanns class started to learn about opinion writing today. They did a fact or opinion scoot to practice determining what's a fact and what's an opinion. Students learned in an interactive, and fun way!






Kindergarten students in Mrs. Winigers class did an ABC room search to help with identifying their letters! What a great and engaging way to learn their letters!



Students and staff at Oak Crest showed up in pink for breast cancer awareness month. Students and staff loved wearing their pink today!









Creativity reigns in Mrs. Romero’s music room! First graders design their own rhythms - literally and figuratively!




Kindergarten students in Mrs. Winiger's class compared and contrasted two wordless books that they read. They used two hula hoops to make and fill in a Venn diagram. What a great hands on way to show their learning!
