
Congratulations to these fabulous superSTARS who won the raffle this week for meeting the 80% pass rate in either Math or Reading I-Ready and having met the required 45 minutes in both reading and math!


It was quite the fun surprise when Mrs. Gorski's class Elf "Snowy" made her appearance! To make the moment even more special, they had a guest reader, Mrs. Ruesch!





Mrs. Pellegrino's 1st graders had some excitement in their room today too! Their class Elf "Stitch" decided to come to Newport and HANG with them and keep an eye on them this December!




There was a lot of excitement in Kindergarten this morning! A package magically appeared at Newport for Mrs. Parmley's class! One of the packages had two Elves on the Shelf, a book & stockings for all of the students. The other package was a box of Magna-tiles for the class!








Aleyna and Jodeci did an amazing job helping with the announcements this week!

The first day of Art Club was a huge success!

First grade made the best out of having indoor recess by making it a game day!






More fun from Craft Day last week! The 3rd, 4th and 5th grade students were able to use Perler Beads.





Today, we would like our amazing 2nd grade team to know how thankful we are for them! Mrs. Senft has been with Newport for 8 of her 29 years with BPD3 and Mrs. Galvan has been with us for 16 of her 19 years in the District. Your caring nature and commitment to each student's learning does not go unnoticed. Thank you for all of your hard work!


We would like our SPED resource teachers to know how thankful we are for them! This is Ms. Hayse and Ms. Delmonico's first year with Newport. We appreciate the kindness and compassion that you show to each and every one of your students and the wisdom and knowledge that you bring to Newport. Thank you for all of your hard work!

We are so thankful to have this amazing team of "Specialists" at Newport! Ms. Bennett is one of our Reading Interventionist. This is her first year at Newport but she has 18 years of teaching experience. This is Mrs. Atkielski's first year as our Math Interventionist but she has been with Newport for 12 of her 24 years with BPD3. This is Mrs. Rouch's 4th year as a Reading Interventionist at Newport but she has 17 years of teaching experience. We are so thankful for all of your expertise, patience and passion for teaching! Thank you for all the hard work you put into helping our students!




Today, we would like our Ms. Cranmer to know how thankful we are for her! Ms. Cranmer has been a Social Worker for a total of 18 years, 15 years for BPD3 with 13 of those years being at Newport. Thank you for not only believing in our students but for always being so supportive, understanding and for being a great resource for staff and students at Newport. We appreciate all that you do!

We are so thankful for this amazing group of women! This is Ms. K's second year as Newport's Gym teacher. This is Mrs.Schafer's second year as our Art teacher but she has been teaching for 20 years. Mrs. Torkelson is the long term substitute for Music but she is also a retired teacher of 35 years. We appreciate you all for creating a hardworking environment for students to have fun and play and be creative and for creating magical experiences for our students!
