
Ms. Aken came to Newport to do a Greek Mythology presentation for our 4th graders.







Newport Staff & Students had the opportunity to listen to the performance "SQUIRM the Musical" this morning. What an amazing performance by Mrs. Babington and the 2nd & 3rd grade students!!






Kindergarten-3rd grade traveled together to Van Patten Woods. They enjoyed their time outside and thanked the police as they walked past.



Our April PBIS celebration was a trip to Van Patten Woods. It was perfect weather! Shout out to the Lake County Sheriff's officers and Lake County Conservation officers for stopping traffic and keeping our students and staff safe!










Noeh and Island were recognized as Outstanding Students and School Citizens by the Illinois Principals Association. They had the opportunity to join Dr.Garris at the Lake Region Student Recognition Breakfast. Noeh and Island, we are so proud of you!

Mrs. Maki's class enjoying Chalk Day!







Kindergarten began their Plants and Animals unit by introducing a classroom ant farm! The students were thrilled to welcome their new class pets. They began working on ant observation journals that will keep track of the work the ants do each day.





1st grade enjoying the warmer weather & celebrating Chalk Day!



Mrs. Smith’s artist are rolling paper to create handmade beads. The artist will use the beads to create either necklaces or bracelets.






Mrs. Galvan’s 2nd grade artists learned the difference between 2 dimensional (flat) vs 3 dimensional (not flat). Then they created 3 dimensional sculptures out of Play-Doh.
