Beginning October 15 of each school year, students who are not up-to-date on required immunizations will be excluded from school until proper documentation is provided.
To help you stay on track, we are sharing an informational flyer from the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) that outlines the state’s immunization requirements. Please review it carefully to ensure your child is compliant.

☀️ See for yourself as 6th graders in Ms. Heard's class experience phases of the moon in real time using a model of the sun and moon.
Our 6-8 teachers are hard at work planning investigations, simulations and labs to engage students. We recognize that learners who experience the wonder and amazement of phenomena all around us are more likely to build a conceptual understanding of science in real life! If only you could have heard the students in this classroom cheer as they made a connection to how moon phases are caused. #staycurious #science #corememories

Every year, we host School Family Meetings. These are required for student attendance for all incoming sixth grade families and all families new to the District. The goal is to shape expectations and ensure partnership between home and school. This year, meetings are on September 4 at 9:00 am, 3:00 pm, or 5:30 pm. Please make arrangements to attend. Translation will be available for our Spanish speaking families.

With the help of Jared Scott from Culture Shift, we have established a Student IMPACT Team here at Beach Park Middle School. Our first Family Night will be on September 8 at 5:00. The team of 20 students will present to the community all the work they have done to establish a movement here at BPMS. Your support is appreciated! See the attached flyer.
