Good Morning Beach Park Families and Staff,

At the May Special Board of Education meeting the Board unanimously voted to place Dr. Denise Wilcox as Interim Superintendent and Dr. Donald McKinney as Interim Associate Superintendent of Beach Park School District #3. Dr. Wilcox will transition from her position as Director of Curriculum and Instruction and Dr. McKinney will transition from Interim Middle School Principal. Dr. Wilcox and Dr. McKinney have begun a transition plan which includes a division of responsibilities for the 2022-2023 school year. Dr. Wilcox will oversee all student instruction, programs, and all building administration. Dr. McKinney will oversee human resources, buildings and grounds, and the business office/operations. Both Dr. Wilcox and Dr. McKinney are thrilled to continue their work serving the District and Beach Park Community. The Board of Education accepted Dr. Craig M. Doster’s resignation from the District effective June 30, 2022 at the special board meeting on June 23, 2022.

Dr. Wilcox and Dr. McKinney will be focusing on turning around the climate and culture of the District. Transparency with the entire learning community will be a priority as they navigate the new school year. They are excited and honored to work in service to the students and staff of Beach Park School District #3. They will maintain an open door policy and will work to partner with families to achieve the District’s mission.

Dr. Wilcox and Dr. McKinney are valued members of the administrative team in Beach Park and will smoothly continue the vision and mission of the District while working in collaboration to achieve the District Strategic Plan Goals on behalf of the Board of Education. The District is excited to welcome Dr. Wilcox and Dr. McKinney to their new administrative roles and are hopeful for the future of Beach Park School District #3.
