For the December SIP Day challenge, the student's worked together to engineer a shelf for their paper elf to sit on! The Kindergarten and 4th grade students did a fantastic job!










This month's character trait is Gratitude. The SEL activity the students had to do was to sort the descriptions and decide if they were showing gratitude or not showing gratitude.

Congratulations to these fabulous superSTARS who won the raffle this week for meeting the 80% pass rate in either Math or Reading I-Ready and having met the required 45 minutes in both reading and math!

It was quite the fun surprise when Mrs. Gorski's class Elf "Snowy" made her appearance! To make the moment even more special, they had a guest reader, Mrs. Ruesch!




Mrs. Pellegrino's 1st graders had some excitement in their room today too! Their class Elf "Stitch" decided to come to Newport and HANG with them and keep an eye on them this December!



There was a lot of excitement in Kindergarten this morning! A package magically appeared at Newport for Mrs. Parmley's class! One of the packages had two Elves on the Shelf, a book & stockings for all of the students. The other package was a box of Magna-tiles for the class!







Aleyna and Jodeci did an amazing job helping with the announcements this week!
