Dear Beach Park Learning Community,
Welcome to a new year in Beach Park School District #3! I am extremely excited to welcome back our students, staff and families! I am so excited to open our schools doors Wednesday, August 16, 2023, for our Beach Park students to return! We can’t wait to fully restore our partnership in learning with the entire Beach Park Community! I cannot believe the summer has already come and gone and it is time to welcome all of you back! I am so excited to open our schools’ doors Wednesday, August 16, 2023, for our Beach Park students to return to a new school year full of promise and endless possibilities. Our students and our staff are capable of so much greatness, lean into this and this year will be amazing!

Beach Park Middle School: 7:25 AM to 2:35 PM
Newport: 8:30 AM to 3:10 PM
Kenneth Murphy: 8:30 AM to 3:10 PM
Howe: 9:05 AM to 3:45 PM
Oak Crest: 9:05 AM to 3:45 PM
The District will be hosting its second annual BACK TO SCHOOL BASH! The Back To School Bash will take place on Tuesday, August 8, 2023 from 4:30-7:00 pm. It will take place in the back of Beach Park Middle School! We will have food trucks, face painting, balloon animal making, games, music, and more! This event is free to our Beach Park Learning Community. Please come and say hello, eat some food and help us celebrate the start of the new 2023-2024 school year! Please be aware a shuttle bus will be transporting people from the KM parking Lot to the middle school for this event. Parking will be limited at Beach Park Middle School. We look forward to seeing everyone there!
The Durham bus company will be sending a communication out before the new school year begins, confirming transportation information about your child’s pick up and drop off times for the 2023-2024 school year. There is also a section on our District website, where Durham has shared important information about bus routes. Please take a look at the website using this link.

Board of Education Meeting: August 9, 2023 @ 6:30PM in the KM library
Open Houses: August 15, 2023 Elementary: 4:00 PM - 5:30 PM
Middle School: 5:00 PM - 6:30 PM
School Starts: August 16, 2023 (Kindergarten please follow the communication from your building principal for information regarding your child(ren)’s first day).
Each school's principal will be sending out a letter explaining specifics about each individual school. Please take a few moments and read through the welcome letter from your child(ren)’s school so you are well informed about the beginning of the school year.
As your superintendent, I am honored to serve our students and our BPD3 Community. My door is always open and I welcome the opportunity to problem solve together on behalf of our students.
