Board of Education Vacancy Notice
Beach Park School District 3 is accepting applications to fill a vacancy on the Board of Education resulting from the resignation of Board Member Kory Geisser effective June 30, 2026.
Individuals interested in serving on the Board of Education must meet the following qualifications:
Be a United States citizen
Be at least 18 years of age
Be a resident of the State of Illinois and Beach Park School District 3 for at least one year immediately preceding the appointment
Be a registered voter
Not be prohibited by law from holding public office
Interested candidates should submit an application, a letter of interest, and a resume by Friday, June 5, 2026.

Candidate interviews are anticipated to be conducted by the Board of Education on Monday, June 22, 2026.
The Board of Education anticipates appointing a candidate at its regular meeting on August 10, 2026. The appointed individual will serve until the next regularly scheduled school board election as provided by Illinois law.
