Dear Beach Park Learning Community,
The time has come to begin a new year in Beach Park District 3! I cannot believe the summer has already come and gone! I am honored to welcome back our students, staff and families. Our partnership in learning will continue to grow and develop as we introduce a new strategic plan including a refreshed mission and vision, portrait of a learner, and district intentions. We are also rebranding our district as we move forward towards our Vision 2030 goal of becoming a Blue Ribbon School District, a federal government award earned by schools that exemplify outstanding learning environments and opportunities for all students. As we progress to achieving this in the next six years, it starts now, beginning with our theme of the year: Our students CAN, just watch ‘em! Together, with the support of our families and community, our students and teachers will push the envelope in achieving greatness. Our staff and myself are thrilled to return to a new school year full of promise, opportunities, and endless possibilities.

Student Beginning and Ending Times (2024-2025):
Beach Park Middle School: 7:25 AM to 2:35 PM
Newport: 8:30 AM to 3:10 PM
Kenneth Murphy: 8:30 AM to 3:10 PM
Howe: 9:05 AM to 3:45 PM
Oak Crest: 9:05 AM to 3:45 PM
Student Schedules and Bus Transportation information will be available on the PowerSchool Parent Portal starting August 12, 2024.

Students entering Kindergarten: please follow the forthcoming communication from your building principal for information regarding your child(ren)’s first day.
Each building principal will be sending out a letter sharing specifics about each school. Please take a few moments and read through the communications from your child(ren)’s school so you are well informed about the beginning of the school year.
As your superintendent, I am honored to serve our students and our BPD3 community. My door is always open, welcoming the opportunity to problem solve together on behalf of our students.
