Bus Freeze Information
Friday, August 12, 2022, through Friday, August 19, 2022
No changes will be made during this time. Changes will begin to be processed Monday, August 22, 2022, in the order in which they were received. If your request is received after the freeze deadline, it will be the responsibility of the family to provide transportation to and from school. Once the freeze is lifted, families will be contacted with route information and transportation start date.
Please Remember First Weeks Take Longer
Bus routes take longer during the first few weeks of school. Students often require a few more “goodbyes” before they get on the bus in the morning, which can slow the process. At the end of the day, schools take a great deal of time checking and rechecking bus passes to ensure that students are on the correct vehicles. In fact, in many cases, the buses won’t leave the school parking lot for 15 or even 20 minutes until after the ending bell. Please keep this in mind during the first weeks of school.
Please don’t forget to arrive at your assigned bus stop at least 5 minutes before your scheduled pickup time
FAQ’s
Can my student take a different bus to a relative or friend's house?
In most cases, no. Due to the capacity of our bus routes, students are not allowed to ride buses other than their assigned bus.
How do I notify the Transportation Department of an address change?
Contact the school building registrar to prove residency. The registrar will process the required paperwork and notify transportation.
My student is the only one at the bus stop. Can we move it to my home?
We cannot move stops to house stops, students may be added to the existing stop at any time throughout the school year.

Daycare Drop Off
If your child needs to be picked up and/or dropped off at a daycare provider, the provider must be within the school boundaries your child attends. You must contact the transportation company to inform them, giving them the daycare provider’s information. If registering over the summer please note any route changes or daycare situations must be submitted by mid-August for new and returning students. For returning students, transportation changes do not carry over year to year. You must contact transportation by mid-August for the upcoming year. Once school begins, any route change requests will take 48 hours to process. Transportation can be reached at 847-623-4840.
