Welcome Letter

Welcome to Beach Park School District #3.  We are honored to serve 2600 students from eight communities in northeastern Lake County, Illinois.  We have very active PTAs and a district Foundation for Education providing outstanding volunteer and financial support.

“Vision 2015,” the district’s five year strategic plan, encompasses six key areas:  curriculum and instruction, student behavior and school climate, community school relations, technology, recognition of district, staff, students and community member accomplishments, and communication.  Within these areas specific targets are set and measured annually.

At each level, students receive a solid foundation in reading, mathematics, language, the arts, science, social studies, and physical education.  As students advance from one grade level to the next, they enjoy programs that build on the skills learned earlier.  The development of young citizens prepared for life, work, and fun is emphasized at all grade levels.  Learning is a dynamic process continuing beyond formal education.
