STUDENT OF THE MONTH
We're on the Lookout!
Everyone likes to receive a compliment. And we love to give them to our students! Each month, Oak Crest recognizes students from each classroom as Student of the Month. When teachers and staff notice a student with especially positive behavior or academic effort, they are considered for student of the month.

Students gather for an assembly at month's end and the winners individually come forward to receive a certificate. The children love the suspense of discovering who will win, and coming forward and being cheered on by classmates and teachers. A group photo helps them remember their special day.

How can you, as a parent, participate? Encourage good behavior in your child. When you send them off in the morning, challenge them to look for opportunities to help others, be cooperative with teachers, and be the best learner that they can be. Ask them to share their successes with you after school.

Thank you for partnering with us to encourage and reward excellence. We can't wait to see which students will be honored next month.
