Welcome to the Beach Park School District’s PBIS webpage!Por favor haga clic aquí para Español. The Beach Park School District is starting a new program called PBIS. PBIS stands for Positive Behavior Intervention Supports. It is a program that focuses on being positive and rewarding students for appropriate behavior, instead of focusing on negative behavior. PBIS has three major components: systems, data, and practices.
Beach Park School District's mission will be to support schools in their PBIS programs and facilitate the effective teaching and learning of positive behavioral expectations. PBIS will be moving full speed ahead during the 2011/2012 school year. All of the schools are teaching their students behavioral expectations, and finding fun ways to celebrate when students meet those expectations. We are collecting data about student behavior and using that data to make sure we are teaching students everything they need to know about how to be successful in school. Please take a look at our expectations: |
